Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version
We collect as little as we can get away with: enough to sign you in, take payment, and stop people abusing the free tier. We don't sell your data.
What we collect
Account details: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google or Apple — the basic profile they share with us. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and never stored by us.
Usage: how many searches you've run, so we can apply your plan's limits.
Search inputs: the description, age, and category you type in. These are sent to our AI provider to generate ideas. Please don't include anything sensitive about the person you're shopping for.
Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. We store only a customer reference and your subscription status — never card numbers.
Technical: IP address and request logs, used for security and rate limiting.
Who we share it with
Google Firebase (authentication and database), Google Cloud (hosting), Google Gemini (generating gift ideas), Stripe (payments on the web), Superwall together with Apple and Google (subscriptions in the mobile apps), and product search providers used to find matching items.
That's the full list. We don't sell personal data or share it with advertisers.
Cookies and tracking
We use storage in your browser or app to keep you signed in. Outbound links to retailers may carry affiliate tags so we're credited for referrals.
How long we keep it
Account and subscription data for as long as your account exists. Guest sessions that never become accounts are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Delete your account by emailing jiaweiyu2009@gmail.com and we'll remove your data, apart from records we're required to keep for tax or accounting.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Email jiaweiyu2009@gmail.com and we'll help — no hoops.
Children
easy2gift isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
